Welcome to Caffi Cariad, a charming lunch restaurant nestled on Upper Denbigh Rd in the heart of Saint Asaph, Wales. More than just a dining venue, Caffi Cariad is an experience that beautifully blends heartfelt cuisine with a mission that touches the community. Situated within a hospice, this establishment stands out as a beacon of support, ensuring every meal contributes to a noble cause.
As you step inside, you’ll immediately feel the warmth of the atmosphere—a place where friendly staff and a relaxed environment beckon you to unwind. Whether you pop in for a hearty breakfast or a delightful lunch, each dish promises to be fresh and lovingly prepared. Alison Keen's delightful experience highlights the authenticity of their cooking—no reheated meals here! This dedication to quality is evident from the first sip of their loose-leaf tea, served in charming teapots, embodying the essence of a proper British brew.
The menu features a selection of enticing starters, such as the comforting Soup and a Roll or the delectable Prawn Cocktail. For mains, dishes like Braised Beef Brisket and Roast Chicken Breast offer a taste of traditional home cooking. Accompanied by seasonal vegetables, succulent roast potatoes, and rich gravy, each bite introduces you to a symphony of flavors that celebrate local ingredients. As Chris Jackson noted, this establishment boasts spotlessly clean dining areas paired with friendly service—a true hallmark of quality and care.
If you're in the mood for indulgence, don’t overlook their range of delightful cakes, a sentiment echoed by Ian Gray—truly mind-blowing creations that illustrate the passion behind every dessert. And for our plant-based patrons, as Nicky Westerberg enthusiastically highlighted, Caffi Cariad also offers imaginative dishes that don’t sacrifice flavor or satisfaction.
The ambiance is made even more inviting with the option to enjoy your meal with your furry friends, as dogs are welcome both indoors and outdoors, making it a truly family-friendly destination. It's advisable to book ahead, especially during lunchtime, to ensure you don't miss out on this hidden gem.
At Caffi Cariad, dining is not just about the food; it's about community, kindness, and support. Glenys Williams' heartfelt review reminds us of the importance of backing local initiatives that make a difference. A visit here is about more than just satisfying your hunger—it's an opportunity to share in the spirit of giving while enjoying delicious food.
Make Caffi Cariad your next stop for lunch, and indulge in a meal that not only pleases the palate but also supports a wonderful cause. Your taste buds—and the community—will thank you.

If you like fresh cooked food, this is the place. No part cooked food that's reheated, just fresh cooked. The tea is loose leaf in a teapot. So nice to have a proper cuppa. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Well worth calling in.

This is such a lovely place to eat and they desperately need support for funding for the Hospice. Nothing is to much trouble to make your meal experience a perfect one. The Sunday lunch is well worth a try. Please please please try here and help support our wonderful local Hospice which can't survive without our custom and generosity. A massive 5 stars to the wonderful staff and helpers of St Kentigans and Caffè Cariad. Thank you for being there for our community.

Don’t miss this lovely restaurant and cafe. Set inside a beautiful hospice, they welcome all. They had several imaginative plant-based dishes that were full of flavour and very satisfying. Cakes and deserts made with love. Wide range of drinks including wine and beer. Dogs welcome indoors and outdoors. Recommend you book at lunchtime so as not to be disappointed.

Caffi Cariad never fails to impress! I've lost count of how many times I've stopped here; welcoming, very friendly and well organised staff, and serving really good cups of tea, coffee, and beans on toast, this is such a great place to stop for a drink and a bite to eat. The cakes and scones, too, are delicious. See you again soon!
